The crash happens on windows too, gedehari found a workaround, you can find it at https://github.com/ninjamuffin99/Funkin/issues/146#issuecomment-753986540 so no, nothing to do with
newgrounds

And that's because the
newgrounds
package was updated and the old version that I was forced to use because of another bug no longer works. Like I said i'll update it in a bitE404NNF commented on 2021-01-04 13:10 (UTC) (edited on 2021-01-04 13:11 (UTC) by E404NNF)
Running it in debug mode gives me a more detailed error
I'll report it in the repo

The game seems to crash at the "Association with NEWGROUNDS" screen
Should I open an issue on the Funkin repo?

Yeah, the repo used to not require that file but was recently changed. I'll get around to updating the pkgbuild in a bit

Nevermind, just looked in the repo, there's a file called "APIStuff.hx" needed in /source folder, as stated here https://github.com/ninjamuffin99/Funkin#ignored-files
