@ebrodeur why not just fix the path as @max_meyer suggested? Please read his comments below.

@Mizuchi 5 comments under yours there is the solution: ln -s /usr/share/lib/shflags/shflags.sh /usr/bin/shflags.sh

So you flagged it out of date because you can't get it to run? That's not cool. I'll look at the bug, if you notice, it's a long standing issue that hasn't been solved elegantly, that's still not a reason to flag it out of date.

It does not work. [ytj@myhost tmp]$ git flow init /usr/bin/git-flow: line 76: .: shflags.sh: file not found

@ebrodeur, max_meyer is right, you should definitely change the path of the shflags.sh to /usr/share/lib/shflags/shflags.sh.

Max, that didn't work as intended, I'll updated it in a bit but I need to play with it since it didn't work as a drop in replacement in the PKGBUILD. I'll have some more time this weekend to investigate.

Hi Ernie, why not replace sed -i -e "s/.*gitflow-shFlags.*/. \"shflags.sh\"/" git-flow through sed -i -e "s#.*gitflow-shFlags.*#. /usr/share/lib/shflags/shflags.sh#" git-flow in your PKGBUILD-file and you're done and we're compliant with the FHS. Cheers, max_meyer

Hi Ernie, sorry for the long delay. I got to your request at last: From my point of view "/usr/bin/" is the wrong place for "shflags". It's architecture independent and used as a library (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_Hierarchy_Standard), that's the reason why I copied it to "/usr/share/lib". As a user you source "shellflags" and do not execute it. You use "sed" to change the line in gitflow to use shflags from the package. Why don't you change the whole line to fit the scheme promoted by the linux foundation in the filesystem hierarchy standard? Cheers, max_meyer
