Seemingly, I did not receive mail notifications for comments here any longer, thus missing some of the notes you directed towards me. I will look into this and meanwhile, look around here more often. For now, the package is updated.

please update to version 59, changing pkgver from 57 to 59 is enough

if you are not more interested to mantain this PKGBUILD please disown

the 57 version has been released.
Could you upgrade it?
thanks very much.

:: gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock package(s) failed to install. Check .SRCINFO for mismatching data with PKGBUILD.

Solution (one more time): makepkg --printsrcinfo > .SRCINFO
Package maintainer, please, read comments! :D

for the laziest ones (including mainteiner :D)

makepkg --printsrcinfo > .SRCINFO

I've received this error when building:

:: gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-dock package(s) failed to install. Check .SRCINFO for mismatching data with PKGBUILD.

I think it has to do with the fact that in the .SRCINFO file pkgver = 54
in the PKGBUILD the version is pkgver=55

same error as @SplitFire

SplitFire commented on 2016-09-22 14:59

Error during installing: .SRCINFO is not correspond to PKGBUILD

@XZS has taken over the package, and has added the fix for the svg issue from his dash-to-dock-git aur package.

Hey guys, I went to the projects bug tracker to see if someone had reported it and whether or not there was a fix, there is, credit goes to Brainwall.

Basically logo.svg is causing crashes, and not just in the dash to dock panel, when you try to delete it or open it or even just open the directory it's in with nautilus it crashes, so to remove it open your terminal and use the following commands:

"cd /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/"
"sudo rm logo.svg"

After that you should be able to open the settings menu as well as the above directory in your preferred file manager without a crash.
