Disowning as upstream has stopped maintaining this and I'm not interested in chasing QT5 dependencies. Personally I use and recommend Neovide anyway from official Arch repos as a better UI experience.

Please include
libtiff5as a dependency, as goneovim requireslibtiff.so.5and doesn't start with it.Just
libtiffprovides onlylibtiff.so.6.yorickpeterse commented on 2022-11-12 04:16 (UTC)
The dependency on postgresql-libs seems unnecessary, as goneovim doesn't seem to actually need it.

Note, goneovim now provides it's own Desktop file. Can you use that instead? (It registers mime types, and hopefully also fixes the category issue below)

Please fix the .desktop file. On Plasma the application is only at the
Lost & Foundcategory, which is very annoying and confusing, which proves that theCategories=Application;line is clearly wrong. I thinkCategories=TextEditor;Development;would be the best choice instead. And having also these lines in the .desktop file would be very convenient:
PS: Also I'd like to point out that the
Version=1.0line seems really unnecessary (and confusing) because a very little percent of applications have such line:alerque commented on 2022-03-30 18:54 (UTC)
Nope @behonest using nightlies or VCS builds is not appropriate for a stable versioned package like this one.
behonest commented on 2022-03-28 08:57 (UTC)
@alerque Thanks. Perhaps we might use Nightly builds? https://github.com/akiyosi/goneovim/releases/tag/nightly. There is this https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/goneovim-git, but I wanted to avoid building it locally so that not to install GO, etc.

@behonest We update this package when upstream releases a new version. They have not done so yet in spite of the wording of that message. The master branch has been updated but they haven't made a new release yet.

Thanks for maintaining this package. When do we update it? I'm seen this bug: https://github.com/akiyosi/goneovim/issues/314#issuecomment-1024480290
