I have executed readelf -d against the elf files in this package. Turns out that there are a few dependencies missing:

/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/plugins/audio/ needs
/opt/google/earth/pro/plugins/printsupport/ needs

The missing libraries can be found in:

'libproxy' 'gst-plugins-base-libs' 'libxi' 'fontconfig' 'alsa-lib' 'libcups'

Furthermore, namcap says that 'ld-lsb' and 'nss' are not needed even though I'm not sure about that

google-earth-pro W: Dependency included and not needed ('ld-lsb')
google-earth-pro W: Dependency included and not needed ('nss')

This might be affecting some people....:

Just try: $ LANG=C google-earth-pro

Det commented on 2018-01-24 22:06

Is this issue really this inconsistent that overriding LANG works for some (like me), and LC_NUMERIC for others?

dviktor commented on 2018-01-24 21:36

May be it worth to include LC_NUMERIC fix to the PKGBUILD?

Nano commented on 2018-01-15 18:04

Ok, I add en_US.UTF-8 variable in locales, run locale-gen and change the line at the end of googleearth file but nothing, do not work.

Nano commented on 2018-01-15 17:53

No, I am Spanish.

Det commented on 2018-01-15 17:40

You even have en_US.UTF-8 available in locales?

Nano commented on 2018-01-15 17:39

Ok, thanks anyway.

Does anyone have a solution?
