@simona this has already been reported multiple times in comments. Also as you can see this package is marked out of date. -git package doesn't have check() so of course it's impossible to fail there. I only wonder what if AUR had some kind of adopting package system that would allow users to fix orphaned packages...

Same issue as xotkot and 6bo74. The -git package installs successfully
