Hi, could someone please post a message here when searching (including tags) with baloo actually works well with this package? I've tried it a few times and have either had trouble compiling it or had it where the search functions had to be disabled. I understand there are many changes in the tree and it is very volatile. It's just that it takes me a full day to switch to the -git packages and then back to extra when I find they don't work well. Thank you. :)

yes. with kio-git solve the segfaults

btw. for the moment, gwenview-git use a stable release of libkdcraw (libkdcraw from kf5 framework don't ship a pkg-config file used by gwenview cmake)

@sl1pkn07 can you try with an up-to-date kio-git? I think this depends on the latest changes in kio, but it's not detected at build time.

still get segfault :/

-- Check for Kdcraw library in local sub-folder...
-- Check Kdcraw library using pkg-config...
-- checking for module 'libkdcraw'
-- found libkdcraw, version 2.4.2
-- Found libkdcraw release 2.4.2

please add libkdcraw-frameworks-git to depends

@sl1pkn07 It is ported now (actually most of the baloo code has been disabled) so baloo-git is required

sl1pkn07 commented on 2014-10-20 01:25

same here with stable baloo-frameworks

if use '-DGWENVIEW_SEMANTICINFO_BACKEND=None' get segfault :/

arojas commented on 2014-10-16 06:08

@davidm Baloo API has changed recently and this is not ported yet. You can disable baloo support for now with the cmake flag -DGWENVIEW_SEMANTICINFO_BACKEND=None (or use baloo-frameworks stable)
