Notes:

  1. To build this pkg, you need a working jdk14, you could use zulu-14-bin for example.

  2. Maven 3.8.1 block HTTP repo by default, see cve-2021-26291, even if you re-enable HTTP, rxjavafx is not found in http://maven.inria.fr anymore. maybe it's not publicly available.

  3. To fix the above issue, we use rxjavafx from jitpack.io, as the patch do.

You could also install latexdraw-bin which repacks the upstream deb file.

@fistrosan No, the txz file is just a tarball, not ArchLinux pkg. You could extract it, and run it. It would be better to use the deb file, which comes with a user-friendly desktop file. You could also install latexdraw-bin.

Thanks for the quick answer and link. I will try to rebuild from upstream. I see there is already a .txz file there. I suppose I can install it directly with pacmac -U right ?

@fistrosan 3.3.9 snapshot create this pkg with a binary file, of course, it would work. You could get the binary from upstream here.

The issue mentioned by araruna remains (as of Oct 2022). Adding the archlinuxcn repo does not help. No idea why this is even necessary. I just built latexdraw from the 3.3.9 snapshot and it worked perfectly. I am not not sure I should even trust a repo from "cn". Is there any change to revert to 3.3.9 or modify the current PKGBUILD so make it work ?

@araruna You could install it from https://github.com/archlinuxcn/repo. Try downgrade java if you wanna build it from this PKGBUILD.

Are there any plans to update it to 3.3.8? I locally increased the version number and it fixes any problems I had with Java 9. If you are upgrading it, I'd fix the typo on the first line (Maintainer) and move to sha512sums for file checksums.
