@TomZander I won't take part in this discussion any longer. Please move this discussion to personal email between you guys or something like this.

@muflone hello,

the merge that happened from the app-bin AUR to the desktop-bin leaves all our (5 year historical) users hanging which suddenly get no more updates on their git pull. Due to that;

Do you both agree on keeping the lbry-app-bin package and removing this one, while keeping the comments and votes?

I personally do, yes.

@TomZander @RubenKelevra

Unfortunately a merge request after being accepted it cannot be canceled. We have received more than 10 different requests around lbry packages so it's not always easy to get what the maintainers want.

Do you both agree on keeping the lbry-app-bin package and removing this one, while keeping the comments and votes?

Please let me know and I'll file and approve a merge request between the two packages

Hey @TomZander,

as already written via email on the AUR package list: This package is no duplicate, but just the target for the requested merge operation to rename the wrongly named lbry-app-bin package - which you maintain.

There's no alternative way to rename packages.

This package duplicates the very popular lbry-app-bin,

would be nice if you could talk to the maintainers (I'm one of them) if you want to contribute changes. I don't think AUR is the best place to have multiple forks.

@lcdss Nevertheless, the name is better fitting as it is the same as the repository.

@kcseb I thought you had retired. I think there's no need to the lbry-desktop-bin package anymore.

Thank you kcseb for the trust,

I directly pushed the update and aim to keep the quality high!
