@Kr1ss Okay, thanks

Yes it is @iykury.

I suggest you either first update lbry-app-bin (the latest version is fixed) and upgrade the system afterwards, or upgrade using pacman -Syudd.

The first option is safer, of course.

When I sudo pacman -Syued I got this:

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing libappindicator-gtk2 (12.10.0-14) breaks dependency 'libappindicator' required by lbry-app-bin

I'm pretty sure it's caused by the same thing neilsimp1 was talking about in their comment.

I had to change libappindicator to libappindicator-gtk2 in the PKGBUILD to get this working, due to a very recent change with the libappindicator package.

@kiyui you can't login in the app without gnome-keyring. You type in your email and this process gets stuck.

kiyui commented on 2020-01-23 03:25 (UTC)

I've updated some of the dependencies based on the "deb" package:

  • depends=('nodejs' 'npm' 'gnome-keyring' 'gconf')
  • depends=('libnotify' 'libappindicator' 'libxtst' 'nss' 'libsecret')

Let us know if there are any issues.

I've went ahead and pushed a maintenance update that should resolve the startup issues and the 'lbry' package not existing.

If you are still encountering this issue, please backup all of your LBRY files (wallet and other data) by following these instructions;

https://lbry.com/faq/how-to-backup-wallet https://lbry.com/faq/backup-data

Then completely uninstall the LBRY app using 'sudo pacman -Rsn lbry-app-bin' and rebuild via the AUR.

Thank you all for your patience.
