@littlejth ps, if I get free time I can spin up a subsonic-kang-beta pkg in AUR

tmoore commented on 2016-04-05 14:07 (UTC)

@littlejth Probably not until it's stable. This is the stable release of subsonic-kang.

Do you plan on updating this to the 6.0 beta available upstream?

OK, /opt/subsonic-kang/subsonic.sh was not executable for me by default :-)

Not sure, but the real fix is to just have bash installed, as it is listed as a dependency. If you notice, the bash pkg creates a symlink for /bin/sh to point to bash, which allows the /opt/subsonic-kang/subsonic.sh file to work. ls -ld /bin/sh lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Sep 18 04:15 /bin/sh -> bash* pacman -Qo /bin/sh /usr/bin/sh is owned by bash 4.3.042-3 Also make sure subsonic.sh is chmod +x

I've updated package to 5.3. Not sure why you have to add #!/bin/bash to your .service files. Those normally don't need that at all. However, I don't have control over the subsonic.sh files, since those are upstream, but I can look into modifying it possibly post-hook.

I had to do the same fix as dbozan99 (subsonic-kang 5.2.1-1).

dbozan99 commented on 2015-08-12 09:03 (UTC)

For some reason, I had to add "/bin/bash" to the .service file to get subsonic to start. I'm not sure why, as the .sh file begins with "#!/bin/sh" which I have symlinked to /bin/bash already.

Package updated to 5.2.1

PS - This package is not out of date. While subsonic may be at 5.2.1, the subsonic-kang war pkg is still at 5.2. I have no control over that https://github.com/EugeneKay/subsonic/releases/ However, I will attempt to compile the war file myself for 5.2.1
