@produnis: You're right, same here. User mbb was wrong with his suggestion.
pkgbuild fixed and updated. Thanks for notifying.
Hint: When using something like yaourt your build may fail. Run makepkg manually then. And take care of hdd/tmpfs free space as building this baby consumes ~4GB.

what can I do about that?

PKGBUILD's line 27 should be make -f makefile instead of make -f Makefile.libretro

Can you please ad "groups=('libretro')" (sans quotes) so this shows up when installing the "libretro" group package set?

Don't know exactly. I think these are 0.160 or 0.161. I spot checked some roms from set 0.161, which were always problematic to me with older mame installations, but most of them worked fine/better.
If you'll find a better source which romset'll be the correct one, please let me know, so I cann add this information.

produnis commented on 2016-04-01 11:09

which ROMset is needed for MAME2015 ?

OJaksch commented on 2016-02-23 16:11

--- isn't building with yaourt for now. Please use another tool for building. I tested it with bauerbill which worked fine.

padfoot commented on 2016-02-13 22:48

Definitely something changing in the build environment with yaourt. Building manually worked for me also.

You're right. Same here. Yet I can't get the point why it is failing - if I run makepkg manually, it builds fine. Hope this hint helps for now.
