some releases ago, I used to download 4.X tar (90MB) and a patch-4.X.Y tar (~KB), while now I download 4.X.Y tar, for every new kernel sub-version. Is there a way to revert to a patch-system in order to build the kernel? I have an very very slow internet connection but I bet it will be appreciate for metered-connection users.

What?

Is there an easy way to get back with the kernel patch system?

@francoism90 - Was waiting for 4.18.6 but I don't even see an rc for it. I will push 4.18.5-4 with these incorporated shortly.

@graysky Could you please implement the following changes: https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/linux&id=c75a915313f72924fa0a3ed45356f9e0ea488f3b

Should this also be changed? https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk?h=packages/linux&id=df01e3111f453e720762a55d68a2e6de2a25f247

Thanks!

@keren_sky, did you search for 'apm_bigs' in the kernel source? I did and found nothing, but searching for 'apm_bios' gives many results, for example

$ find -name 'apm_bios*'

./include/linux/apm_bios.h ./include/uapi/linux/apm_bios.h

I would assume that the error has nothing to do with 'apm_bios*' files.

P.S. If somehow your kernel source doesn't have 'apm_bios*' files then something wrong on your side.

I see the following: CC [M] drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nvkm/engine/disp/dmacgv100.o fixdep: error opening file: include/linux/apm_bigs.h: No such file or directory make[4]: *** [scripts/Makefile.build:318: drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nvkm/engine/disp/dmacgv100.o] Error 2

Which pkg provides that file? thanks.
