does this one use the new EEVDF scheduler?

@Mithras: if you do
gpg --locate-keys torvalds@kernel.org
it worksMithras commented on 2023-10-21 03:15 (UTC) (edited on 2023-10-21 03:19 (UTC) by Mithras)
Well, for anybody else having this issue: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/696474 Essentially fedora is being fedora. You have to sign nvidia-dkms module if you want secure boot because fedora decided to ignore module.sig_enforce=0.

Can somebody confirm it works for nvidia-beta-dkms? It boots but doesn't load nvidia with "failed to insert module nvidia_uvm" for me.
No, I didn't forget to generate dkms:
No, no errors from dracut. Dracut log for
linux
is the exact same as forlinux-fsync-nobara-bin
.No it's not related to secure boot (I build UKIs and sign the whole thing):

works though

I get this when I try to install the package:

@figue the building of the nvidia modules gets triggered when nvidia-dkms is installed or updated. And because I have dracut configured to have the nvidia modules included in my initramfs dracut was throwing an error during the building of the initramfs because of the modules not built for linux-fsync-nobara-bin. So this should be a one time thing I would think since I have never had to do it for any of my other installed kernels, if not I will create a pacman hook for it if I run into it again.

@inittux great! I don't know how dracut works, but maybe you have to configure nvidia module somewhere to trigger the build when it needs.

I got it working now. I reinstalled nvidia-dkms that forced a rebuild of all the nvidia modules for all installed kernels. After that when I installed linux-fsync-nobara-bin and dracut succeeded without any errors. It had slipped my mind that dracut doesn't build nvidia modules but only the initramfs but that it does look for the needed modules to include in the initramfs. And that nvidia-dkms does the building of the nvidia modules, I am now booted into the linux-fsync-nobara-bin kernel with a graphical session. I actually can't believe how I missed that the whole time. Thank you for thinking it through with me!

Yes, headers are included.
I tried installing nvidia-dkms and nvidia module builds fine:
/usr/lib/modules/6.5.5-201.fsync.fc38.x86_64/updates/dkms/nvidia.ko.xz
Can you confirm that nvidia.ko module is built fine?
