One of the URLs in the current build file 404s. You can replace it by: https://download.steinberg.net/sdk_downloads/vstsdk3611_22_10_2018_build_34.zip

@teetest Yes, I know how to use it already. I just think it would be better if it installed to a different directory and I can just copy it for the plugins I have without having to remove it from the VST directory.

@net147 To use LinVst, the linvst.so file simply needs to be renamed to match the windows vst dll's filename.

(the .so and .dll extensions are left as they are and are not part of the renaming)

Both the windows vst dll file and the renamed linvst.so file are then a matched pair and need to be kept together in the same directory/folder.

you should check "readme" from https://github.com/osxmidi/LinVst

Should libvst.so be installed to different location like /usr/lib/linvst/linvst.so instead of /usr/lib/vst/livst.so so that the DAW doesn't try to load libvst.so and display an error like the following?

LinVst Error: VST dll file not found: linvst.dll

@faemir It's ok on my REAPER. Have you check the *.so filename?

This doesn't show up in Reaper for me - any ideas?

@KEVLAR do the precompiled binaries (https://github.com/osxmidi/LinVst/releases) work for you? Could you post the messages that are printed on the console output when you try to use a linvst plugin the first the since you started your DAW/host?

I don't understand why linvst isn't working at all. I tried differents things. NO way on arch. On debian buster it's working perfectly.

Sadly linvst does not work for me. I switched to airwave. It worked directly without workarounds.
