Hello and welcome to the AUR, revision of your pkgbuild

  • There is no correlation between pkgver= and source=() , for building a fixed tag from a git repository: source=("git+https://github.com/p3nguin-kun/lmaofetch.git#tag=${pkgver}") (this pkgbuild need to build a fixed release), for versioning of a VCS pkgbuild see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/VCS_package_guidelines#The_pkgver()_function
  • please remove unused fileds, including groups=('unknown')
  • sudo pacman in prepare() is not wanted, if this only works with ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols use depends=(ttf-nerd-fonts-symbols), if a nerd-fonts is need use depends=(nerd-fonts) and users will decide which package
  • A license like MIT which isn't part of the licenses package need to be installed in "${pkgdir}/usr/share/licenses/${pkgname}"
