Still no luck on slimserver.tar.gz:

100 126 100 126 0 0 311 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 311

100 139M 0 139M 0 0 99778 0 --:--:-- 0:24:27 --:--:-- 97345

sha256sum slimserver.tar.gz

-rw-r--r-- 1 christophe christophe 146456600 Jul 18 13:07 slimserver.tar.gz

I've just tried this on two different machines, here's the other with similar results:

100 126 100 126 0 0 311 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 311

100 139M 0 139M 0 0 99778 0 --:--:-- 0:24:27 --:--:-- 97345

-rw-r--r-- 1 systems systems 130613728 Jul 18 12:09 slimserver.tar.gz

If I am the only person who is experiencing this problem then it is probably something at my end. Disk space is not a problem but internet speed may be. My max internet speed is about 130Kbs. I've rolled back LMS to v8.1.1 and I'll try upgrading again in a few days time. Thanks stef.an for your time and effort and I'll report back when I have success.

It is only around 150MB, should be 230 something, the download looks incomplete, one more try to delete and downlaod the vendor tar gz? The other one looks good, so my guess is an instable connection or insufficient disk space.

Here are mine and slimserver.tar.gz is different:

[christophe@ducati logitechmediaserver]$ ls -la slimserver.tar.gz slimserver-vendor-public.tar.gz

Mhhh, I don't know there's something wrong with your (or my) files.

These are the checksums of my downloads:

[build@nc logitechmediaserver]$ sha256sum slimserver.tar.gz slimserver-vendor-public.tar.gz

cfab3acda2cfb60b106bdfd80f943e3f4d466ec4cc6f00973d796c7c68640f53 slimserver.tar.gz

e13f0e3529234693953e32382776ea965b87a758d1bc75cf453819fb0d76d502 slimserver-vendor-public.tar.gz

[build@nc logitechmediaserver]$ ls -la slimserver.tar.gz slimserver-vendor-public.tar.gz

-rw-r--r-- 1 build build 235399325 17. Jul 17:04 slimserver.tar.gz

-rw-r--r-- 1 build build 149282646 17. Jul 17:04 slimserver-vendor-public.tar.gz

And of course those are in the PKGBUILD, because ny System generated them into the file.

This is strange, could you try this and post the results of the last command? Very detailed version of the make process, don't mind if it sounds like a teacher...

su to your "build" user and preferrably to the home directory:

cd ~

wget https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/snapshot/logitechmediaserver.tar.gz

tar xvf logitechmediaserver.tar.gz

cd logitechmediaserver/

makepkg --verifysource

The makepkg should download the sources and verify the checksums once again. This is what I just did, it says... native language, sorry... everything is fine :)

[build@nc logitechmediaserver]$ makepkg --verifysource

Sorry to "mark as outdated", it was the only way to report the problem I could find at the time. I've tried to download LMS for two days now on two different machines, both fully up to date with clean builds and each time I get the same result as reported in my last message.

stef.an commented on 2021-07-17 12:26 (UTC)

I'm not sure what might cause that but I've tested building and everything looks fine. Nothing new in ~/* for me. Anyone else?

@chrismate, checksums are ok, please update to the latest pkgbuild and try a clean build (why do you use "mark as outdated" to report problems?).

nemster commented on 2021-07-12 21:29 (UTC)

i guess the build process is somehow broken as it installs stuff to ~/perl5/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/ of the build user. so copying ~/perl5/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/* to /opt/logitechmediaserver-git/CPAN/arch/5.34/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/

fixed it for me.
