@blubbblubb Yes. Build still fails on my system with the current pkgbuild and taglib1.patch.

MAnjaro update: with the 2024-03-06 update, normality has been restored. taglib1 is now available (also pulled in by mixxx), so loudgain finds its libraries successfully, and compiles too.

@morganmay just tried recompiling and reinstalling loudgain, still works for me, are you using the latest pkgbuild with the taglib1.patch?

Compilation of
loudgain 0.6.8-6
fails for me on an up-to-date Arch system withtaglib1 1.13.1-2
installed:Edit to add: I get the same error with
loudgain-git

Manjaro update:
the line "conflicts=("taglib<2")" results in manjaro wanting to remove the taglib library when installing.
commenting the line out AND modifying "depends=("taglib" "libebur128" "ffmpeg")" makes it compile and install cleanly.
I can live with that though.

should build again on Arch now. I'm not sure if the patch for the CMakeLists.txt is the best approach, maybe there is a better/more obvious way to fix the paths which i'm currently not seeing. If the patch is indeed necessary that's probably something that should be changed in the codebase but seeing as the project is kind of abandoned i'll leave it as is for now.
Manjaro Users still need to change the dependency to "taglib" and probably remove the patch and export line until Manjaro switches to taglib2 as well

The taglib1 package is now in
[extra]
(it does not conflict with taglib). You can build/ link against it using
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/lib/taglib1/pkgconfig

I'm not aware of any way to depend on either taglib<2 or taglib1 and as Manjaro probably will also switch to taglib2 soon (testing currently contains 2.0-1). I think it is best to leave the dependencies as is for now. I have added a conflict with "taglib<2" to at least prevent errors during installation.
If anyone does know of a clean way to depend on either of the two packages let me know.

@blubbblubb: I confirm the workaround by @artiom works fine on Manjaro.

I was able to build it against taglib from extra, which is of version 1.13.1 , just replace dependency taglib1 with taglib
