I was able to get it to compile by removing everything below the "#Cruft we don't want." line.

@danir I'll check up on fixing the build, I'm using neomutt not this one so hadn't really noticed any issues. > Also, why is there a PKGBUILD_gold file in the committed repo? Looks like something you added by mistake Sorry don't know what you're talking about. There is only a PKGBUILD and a .SRCINFO.

P.S.: Can we not have debug enabled by default? I'm not sure what it does, but I doubt normal users want it. Anyone building the git version can enable it manually should they need to

Build is currently broken since NeoMutt removed muttbug and flea. Also, why is there a PKGBUILD_gold file in the committed repo? Looks like something you added by mistake

@BoySka You're right! Thanks, I was doing that... https://github.com/karelzak/mutt-kz/issues/124 Let's see what happens :D

BoySka commented on 2016-03-14 01:36 (UTC)

timofonic: it maybe that the PKGBUILD is not maintained, but it still works fine for me, so I can't see the problem (apart from the pkgver thing) I don't know what's muddy-mutt, for sure mutt-kz includes a sidebar, so I guess it is from mutt-sidebar-hg. I don't think it includes anything like mutt-vid. Still, those questions should be asked to the upstream developer (that is, karelzak)

notmuch-git disappeared... Why? What happened? Are those forks merged in mutt-kz-git? I mean the Git repo, of course. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/muddy-mutt/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mutt-sidebar-hg/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mutt-vid/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mutt-patched/ @hobarrera Package seems orphaned. I want to use it because want to get out of Gmail and every GUI mail client gets destroyed by my massive email. This mutt work seems interesting, but the PKGBUILD isn't maintaned: No activity of the maintainer since 2015 and not replied you.

Any reason for *not* updating pkgver() to follow current VCS guidelines? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VCS_package_guidelines#Git

Hi! I maintain mutt-kz, and wrote a PKGBUILD for mutt-kz-git without noticing we already had one. I'd like to share what I wrote since I believe it has some improvements over the current one: * pkgver() follow current PKGBUILD VCS guidelines (current build is 1.5.23.1.5861.7d0217a-1). * Use _pkgname instead of pkgroot, since custom variables should start with underscore. * Install Muttrc.gpg.dist Feel free to copy any bits you deem useful, and thanks for maintaining this: https://git.barrera.io/snippets/8 Cheers! https://git.barrera.io/snippets/8

It looks like libidn should also be a dependency.
