@Mainframe, you need to install both nvidia-470xx-utils and nvidia-470xx-dkms in the same command.

Hi, after preparing everything as descripted and trying to install via 'pacman -U' I get the following error:

warning: cannot resolve "nvidia-470xx-utils=470.199.02", a dependency of "nvidia-470xx-dkms"
:: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:
      nvidia-470xx-dkms

What am I doing wrong?

I forked this repository and patched it to use the latest driver version. That fixed all my display issues.

If you want to use it while we wait for a new maintainer, clone https://github.com/camio/nvidia-470xx-utils and use makepkg as normal.

The package can be orphaned in 5 days, if the maintainers didn't react earlier: https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-general@lists.archlinux.org/thread/TE5QIFHPFT2J2ANLG3MIFCVQB6EOKKIM/

Thanks. I shouldn't do this stuff so late @ night.

I posted on the aur-general mailing list and hope that we can get some help there!

@tpkessler: well, we will wait another 8 days ...

SoftExpert commented on 2023-07-09 05:22 (UTC)

@keren_sky: kernel-6.3.patch does not apply correctly with NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-470.199.02.run. The new version of the driver requires only the kernel-6.4.patch we provided in the comments.

Thanks for the pointers in the comments.

The process stops with the following:

patching file nvidia-drm/nvidia-drm-drv.c
Hunk #2 FAILED at 874.
1 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file nvidia-drm/nvidia-drm-drv.c.rej
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in prepare().

How to proceed?

@SoftExpert: Orphan requests are locked for 14 days to give the maintainer time to react. Yours can only be decided in 8 days.
