Can you please add this patch: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/blob/master/x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers/files/nvidia-drivers-470.141.03-clang15.patch

As soon arch will change to llvm15, all clang kernels will fails. So please add this.

If anybody has a problem playing video using VLC, or any software using libva, read this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2078521#p2078521

Quick summary, do

echo "setenv LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME nvidia" > /etc/profile.d/libva.csh
echo "export LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=nvidia" > /etc/profile.d/libva.sh

@TohruKobayashi: I am running a GeForce GTX 650 Ti and can confirm that it works.

TohruKobayashi commented on 2022-12-17 03:36 (UTC)

Looks like that 470.161.03 driver does not work with GTX 650 Ti, but seems the official website claims it works with GTX 650 Ti.

(EE) NVIDIA(GPU-0): The NVIDIA GPU at PCI:5:0:0 is not supported by the 470.161.03 NVIDIA driver.

That last update finally works with my 6.0.12 kernel!

Tested and it works so far. Removed the kernel 6.0 patch accordingly.

neuromante commented on 2022-12-13 13:24 (UTC)

Hi I see the patches to make it work with kernel 6.0 are still included but afaik these are not needed anymore. As a matter of fact the patches have been removed from the packages created for fedora and debian…correct me if I’m wrong

@Menelkir: Adopting package? Anybody, eg. me?
