For the beginners in need of assistance, first take a look at this recommended guide https://github.com/korvahannu/arch-nvidia-drivers-installation-guide - maybe it helps to solve the issues your are having with this version of the driver.

The majority of patches used in this package are provided by Joan Bruguera to whom we owe a tremendous depth of gratitude !

There is also the repository shared by phobos1641, where he has gathered all the patches that work for his configuration.

Just wanted to report back that joanbm's patch works! Newbie mistake of forgetting to actually apply the patch in prepare.

@a821: Thing i learned today: how to apply patches :-) It's working!!! thanks a lot!

@TempusNemini: Download the nvidia-470xx-fix-linux-7.0.patch from the comments below (@phobos1641, @7314776) and added it to the PKGBUILD in sources and prepare. Then rebuild the nvidia-470xx packages and reinstall. Here is the patch I applied (which works for me BTW): https://pastebox.io/api/paste/10C222q9

what is correct order of actions if i already installed 7.xx kernel? remove 470xx package (which i installed from AUR), download 470xx source, apply patch from 7314776 post and build it?

successful makepkg with patch from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/joanbm/nvidia-470xx-linux-mainline/refs/heads/master/patches/nvidia-470xx-fix-linux-7.0.patch

(running makepkg on previous kernel with subsequent kernel upgrade and nvidia-470 installation)

I'm having issues building against the new 7.0 kernel as well. I've tried applying both patches that @phobos1641 supplied but no luck. Here's the full build log:
