Please note that when using this package, you will not be able to use the Plugin Manager but have to install plugins via the aur or compile them yourself. If you need a plugin that is not in the aur, feel free to contact me for help.

I suggest the following options be added to the cmake command line in PKGBUILD: -DBUNDLE_GSHHS=CRUDE -DBUNDLE_TCDATA=ON -DBUNDLE_DOCS=ON Adding these options causes a basic background map, tide & current data, and help files to be included in the package.

I was seeing a build error like: CMake Error at /usr/share/cmake-3.5/Modules/FindPackageHandleStandardArgs.cmake:148 message:Could NOT find wxWidgets missing: wxWidgets_LIBRARIES However, I'm unable to reproduce this error. Thanks!

You shouldn't need wxgtk2.8, opencpn have supported wxgtk 3.x since ages ago, what were the errors you were getting during build?

This package compiled for me by replacing the wxgtk dependency with wxgtk2.8.

I figured it out. I had manually placed some plugin lib*.so files in /usr/lib/opencpn. Removing these fixed the problem.

I really wish that opencpn will get ported to qt5 instead off horrible wx, but that will never happen.

Switched to wxwidgets 3, note that some people are experiencing some focus glitches with the bar, so ymmv.
