Hi, lintmx

as far as we know, the upsteam devel user "chengr28" delete all his project.

and if some one want to use this package, who will get a 404 when download.

can you change the package download url to a backup place ?

example to the or other similar place. so we can make this package continue work .

Thanks for suggestions

I will rename it from pcap-dnsproxy-bin to pcap-dnsproxy but keep the version in v4.9.9.9 because the v0.4.9.13 is pre-release version, we need a release version in aur.

Dear lintmx:

Package xxx should be built from released source tarballs

Package xxx-bin Should be converted from released binaries. Examples are here

The release page

There are released binaries Pcap_DNSProxy-...-bin.7z and, however, they contain binaries only for Windows and macOS. Therefore Package pcap-dnsproxy-bin is literally impossible.

This package is obviously built from released source tarball. Please rename it from pcap-dnsproxy-bin to pcap-dnsproxy

To rename it:

  1. Create a new package pcap-dnsproxy
  2. Copy .SRCINFO, PKGBUILD and pcap-dnsproxy.service to pcap-dnsproxy
  3. In pcap-dnsproxy, update them from v0.4.9.9 to v0.4.9.13
  4. Request a merge

Sorry for such a hassle.

Sincerely, Darren
