What do I have to do to run this package I ran

yay -S photoprism
sudo systemctl start photoprim.service
systemctl status photoprism.service

which results in

systemctl status photoprism.service
● photoprism.service - Photoprism

@thomaseizinger regarding your last comment, it appears you have not pushed the latest change removing --defaults-yaml and adding a defaults.yml file.

Thanks for maintaining this,

F.

The last release (rel 1) slightly adjusts the way this package uses photoprism's configuration. Instead of pointing to options.yml, we now ship with a defaults.yml in the default location (/etc/photoprism/defaults.yml). The contents are effectively unchanged.

Because we pick this up from the default location now, I removed the --defaults-yaml parameter in the service file.

As always, please read the release notes of all recent releases (starting https://github.com/photoprism/photoprism/releases/tag/221102-905925b4d) carefully in case any of your settings are affected.

if you do disown, I'll try to maintain it.

I've originally adopted this package because I did not want to run photoprism in a container on my raspberry via docker as this plays badly with systemd.

Maintaining this package is tedious but it was worth it so far.

Recently, I learned about podman and its very good integration with systemd. I am trailing this on my local setup at the moment and if I find it to work well, I am likely to disown this package.

The update to the latest release should be out soon. Please note that the new version comes with some breaking changes to the config file. Please see the upstream changelog for details: https://github.com/photoprism/photoprism/releases/tag/220728-729ddd920

Yes. That is what is packaged in the official photoprism docker image. I think the [community] version is already tensorflow 2 and thus I believe incompatible.

Is there a reason stated anywhere why this package uses tensorflow 1.15 instead of the [community] version?

Yes, builds successfully now. Thanks!
