@quequotion Fair enough, I did read that, but it didn't make it clear to me what effect the patch had, i.e. if it was to fix the build or something only noticeable at runtime. Thank you for updating.

@ferreum the line just above it says exactly what it was there for; you couldn't have commented it out without reading that.

Looks like upstream fixed their broken (actually missing) libtool script; the patch may no longer be necessary. Test building now.

EDIT: This does seem to be the case. Hopefully LTO is working as well.

I had to comment out the fixlibtool patch to compile. I'm not sure what it's for, but everything appeared to work fine without it.

@ElijahLynn What is it you have in mind for this package?

You should probably read the AUR article on the Wiki.

There is a mechanism to allow multiple users to maintain a package, but I'd rather handle this package alone. That said, I am very much open to proposals.

@beroal - Thank you. I know this is off-topic but is there any effort in the Arch community to move all of these AURs to something like GitLab for easier collaboration?

beroal commented on 2019-05-07 17:58 (UTC)

@ElijahLynn Only the maintainer of this package can change it.

Hi, I'm new to AURs, is there a way to make a merge request or pull request against this pulseaudio-git PKGBUILD? Or do we just leave comments here?

quequotion commented on 2019-02-13 16:21 (UTC) (edited on 2019-03-08 22:38 (UTC) by quequotion)

I've updated the package to more closely match the configuration of the [extra] package.

This includes dropping pulseaudio-gconf and pulseaudio-xen; if anyone has some use for this package to provide those let me know.

Also, now using official upstream git source!

Sorry guys, been through a mail-address change, and didn't pick up your comments! As it is, I don't currently have the time to maintain, this, so I'll be disowning it. Sorry for the wait!
