Is it possible to remove the python2-setuptools dependency for the Python 3 version?

Yeah, we've worked out the problem. I could create a patch for it. However, given that python3 is more or less the current standard, I think I'll drop the python2 version altogether.

Hi! Sorry forgot to check back and had given up. I want to convert fit files to gpx so I can import them into Viking and inspect and manipulate routes. Several steps involved in the conversion as there's nothing which does it straight up. Process starts with this library and is used by fittotcx (AUR: fittotcx-git). Did you hear anything from upstream?

Looking at the sources, it should still work on python2. However, it appears to be a syntax error (on python2 only). I'll send a message to the developer. Just out of curiosity: if you don't know python, what is your interest in this package?

Build fails on the python2 version. I don't know Python and haven't found it explicitly mentioned upstream but it seems there's no longer a python2 build option. Removing the python2 build code from PKGBUILD gets the python package built.
