@fbn I'm also pro that. This should be dealt with on power-profiles-daemon. Asusctl is the wrong place.

asusctl depends on power-profiles-daemon, which conflicts with many power management packages like tlp:

I believe the conflict should be marked on power-profiles-daemon itself, not in asusctl, but that package choose to refuse to start the systemd service instead of explicitly mark the packages conflicts.
