@vi2nano
Thanks, added gtk2.
And info about sha256sums is already explained in the pinned comment above ;)

Also depends on gtk2 for libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0
sha256sum was invalid when building, likely because it's downloading 2.2.4-6 which is showing as: '4f3658a159c1f0630ab861d94db5aa719e2450afe987348402cb9a8474a8350d'
for people with the validation check failing it's frowned upon but you can type 'SKIP' in place of actual checksum and it will skip it in the PKGBUILD.

@ase1590
Pretty sure there is flickering for most people, I tested 5 systems and they all have major flickering. And having two separate parts is annoying(launcher + game), I hope they update it soon.

I'm seeing what @ase1590 mentioned on intel integrated graphics (Intel® HD Graphics 4400) as well

@sandy: what grawity said - it's what they have linked against.
In open-source world you can (usually) just recompile against newest library (as long as API have not changed), but not in the case of precompiled proprietary software like this.
And about webkitgtk - probably can be removed, but I did not bother checking because they did not remove it from their package dependency too...
Will check it when will have time.
Also probably will revert btw the attempt at sound fix that changed nothing (bf6503c)... will shrink the deps too.
grawity commented on 2017-05-14 18:26 (UTC)
@sandy: Yes, as Jagex only provide precompiled binaries there isn't much choice in this matter – you must have libraries that exactly match the ABIs the binary was compiled for. (Apparently their target system is an oldish Ubuntu.)
WebkitGTK is probably no longer needed, however, since they've reworked how the client displays ads.

Is there a reason to depend on older software like webkitgtk2, and glew1.10 instead of webkitgtk and glew? Does the game not work with the newer packages?

@ase1590 I doubt that has anything to do with Cinnamon, but yes it may be a AMD bug.

@g562BP53R75N
It's already pinned as [RE: sha256sums] ;)
P.S.
Checksums updated.

The GUI label is intentionally 2.2.4, this is related to it being a Linux-only launcher update, sorry if this causes any confusion

Note: It is important to keep PGP signature verification enabled, because this PKGBUILD does not verify sha256sums due to Jagex frequently releasing rebuilds with the same version number.
Don't forget to import the Jagex PGP key if installing for the first time:
