The GUI label is intentionally 2.2.4, this is related to it being a Linux-only launcher update, sorry if this causes any confusion

Note: It is important to keep PGP signature verification enabled, because this PKGBUILD does not verify sha256sums due to Jagex frequently releasing rebuilds with the same version number.

Don't forget to import the Jagex PGP key if installing for the first time:

gpg --keyserver hkps://keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv-key AAC9264309E4D717441DB9527373B12CE03BEB4B

Does the issue occur if you manually log out, or manually return to lobby, via the Esc menu?

Either way, better report it to the RS forums instead.

I have a pretty weird, reproducible issue related to world selection and entering the game world.

On first sign-in, everything works great. It's only after automatically being returned to the lobby (afk timer) that this problem occurs - basically, the "world select" tab is empty, and neither of the "play now", or the favorited world buttons actually enter me into the game. The only way to get it working again is to close the client and restart it.

Starting from the command line, there is no error related to the actions of clicking the "play now" or favorited world buttons. I only have the "no version information available" warning from libcurl.so.3 that appears when the client is first started.

Any ideas as to what is causing this, and how to resolve it?

EDIT: Upon testing various auth workflows further, this only appears to happen when authenticating over OAuth via Google.

I'm having the same problem as Louis6321 after a Nvidia driver update. Previously I had been able to work around it by downgrading the Nvidia driver package and its requirements, but this time it isn't working (I presume something else in my system has changed and now requires the latest packages). Previous fix: pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/lib32-libcurl-compat-7.54.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/lib32-curl-7.54.1-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz pacman -U /var/cache/pacman/pkg/nvidia-384.90-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz /var/cache/pacman/pkg/nvidia-utils-384.90-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz If I come across another workaround I'll add it here.

I'm having the same problem... although I must admit I'm on Fedora 26, not Arch. The choppy audio problem started a few weeks ago and is usually resolved by closing and reopening the game multiple times until the audio sounds normal. More recently though (last few days) there was a Nvidia update and since then the screen is black (music plays if it's not muted) when the game opens and I can't do anything. The loading screen loads fully, the game window pops up and it's completely black. I haven't found a fix yet... I suspect it was the Nvidia update. Would be interested to know if cjmick also has Nvidia. Not a clue what the cause of the choppy audio problem is though. At least there is a (somewhat annoying) workaround.

No network traffic that I can see. It does try to load according to the progress bar, it gets to the end and that is it. Music continues to play, although it is very choppy sounding. Tried completely uninstalling and installing, reboot and still same issue. Tried different DE and same issue, I thought it could be with i3wm, but it isn't.

@cjmick: Do you at least see network traffic? (i.e. does it *try* to load something?) Try removing the cache at ~/Jagex/.

cjmick commented on 2017-11-13 09:48 (UTC)

Tried installing, music is very choppy. Says loading application resources, but nothing loads. I get no errors through Cli when running from there. Currently using i3wm.

Then it has nothing to do with this package. I have nothing to do with your xdg-open configuration.
