The Savage2 installer files are missing from the official server.

You'll need to manually download the appropriate .run file from one of the "Off Site HTTP Downloads" mirrors manually before attempting to build this package:

it seems there's a workaround for the infinite update problem,
edit ~/.savage2/game/startup.cfg
SetSave upd_checkForUpdates "false"

Hi, if I run savage2 as regular user, everytime I want to login the game says "Unable to write to game".

If I run "sudo savage2", the game would check and download the update -> "your version, new version"
but after the download finished, the game would just restart, check and download the same update, as if the update wasn't applied.

I am uploading to my own Server at the moment: (already uploaded)
and (yet to be uploaded)
Can the maintainer of this PKGBUILD include these locations to the download? (Not sure how many traffic this will be but i will do my best to provide this mirror for longer.

I'm not sure. It must be doing it's own check as to whether or not it's writable. If I run it at root, it works. Maybe it just looks at the directory owner?

When i try to Login at the Mainscreen there is an Update. I get an error: Caanot open Game Directory. I tried a recursive chmod a+w. No Chance. Maybe you get into that?
