Before marking the package out of date, please first check that the new version is not a pre-release. I'm tracking releases, not pre-releases.

@galuise: I don't think this is a great place to get support, I'd refer you to the forum or IRC. I've just built the package without issues, so it's likely a problem on your end regarding DNS resolution.

@BillFleming I added nodejs>=18 as a makedepends, that should work with any package that provides nodejs with version 18 or newer (arch's lts packages do this). I built it without issues using nodejs-lts-hydrogen.

Struggling to get this to build since a

pacman -Syu
last night and again (this morning)...

It seems like yarn or the yarn build process for electron-build is failing to do a DNS lookup for github.com... It appears to be defaulting to ::1#53 for DNS and none of my resolved config specifies 127.0.0.1:53 or ::1#53 as DNS for my system. DNS seems to resolve normally for curl and browsers on this same system, but fail to download the required

electron-v27.0.4-linux-x64.zip
file.

Here are the results of a

makepkg -s
:

I tested my DNS via resolvectl:

[galuise@gg-7510-arch teams-for-linux]$ resolvectl query github.com

Note that this requires a reasonably up-to-date node.js to build and it should be added to the depends list. extra/nodejs version 21 is working as of today. Old 16 release that I somehow had installed didn't work. Unfortunately arch still has the LTS packages conflicting with the normal named package, so if added as a normal dependency it would force removal of LTS versions. Maybe an optional dependency would be good.

@zrhoffman but it's not orphaned? Got updated 10 days ago?

@ogghi Correct. So someone needs to respond to the orphan request PRQ#46261 to have it closed. Until it's closed, the AUR page for teams-for-linux shows "1 pending request". https://i.imgur.com/p7qBSDh.png

ogghi commented on 2023-10-19 08:23 (UTC)

As per this page: https://github.com/IsmaelMartinez/teams-for-linux/releases it's still Pre-Release?

1.3.14 is out . Is here the audio issue fixed ?

Someone submitted an orphan request a couple months back for teams-for-linux, and AUR shows the request as unresolved

@Mthw, do you use any electron special config, like --ozone-platform-hint=auto? If so, which? Just to avoid trying things which might actually make things worse, :) Thanks a lot !
