building basedpyright-git fails, which in turn causes thonny installation to fail.

installing basedpyright-bin prior to attempting the update/install works.

Very disappointed with Thonny 5. None of the promised new features have been added; it’s basically just a version adapted for Python 3.14. It would be more fitting to call it 4.1.8. Upgrading hardly makes any real difference.

Hi, I tried update on Manjaro from 4.0.1-1 to 4.0.2-1. Build failed with missing dependencies error.

Missing dependencies: esptool and python-ptyprocess

Please add this before depends:

makedepends=('python-build' 'python-installer')

It looks like "python-build" and "python-installer" are missing from the list of dependencies. The build succeeded after I added them.
