The "Unknown key pressed" messages appear in my dmesg too, but they're always appearing when pressing the 'Fn' Key. Even when just pressing Fn and immediately releasing it, without doing anything else.

Those messages have nothing to do with the touchpad switch, they're only indicating that the kernel does not know the keycode of 'Fn' Key and what to do with it. (probably should just ignore it, since fn functionality is taken care of by a separate chip on the Mainboard (EC) or the Firmware, but not the OS or Kernel, if I understood correctly.)

Anyway, it is a known issue that this package only works with KDE and GNOME, there are some upstream issues regarding support for Xfce and others, so if you're not using KDE or GNOME, this package most likely wont work as expected. (Upstream mentions "GDM greeter, GNOME Shell, Budgie, and KDE Plasmashell" in their README as supported and tested)

You'll probably also have to reboot after installing this package, for it to work correctly. It needs to load those udev rules after all, and that usually happens at boot. (Or when hardware is unplugged/plugged-in, but that's a bit hard to do with the touchpad ;) )

I've just tried on my pulse15 with KDE, and the LED lights up correctly despite the kernel messages. I've not tested GNOME, since I don't have it installed.

Hi! Currently this isn't working on a pulse 15. The led doesn't turn ON when the touchpad is disabled. however it disables/enables correctly.

This is what happens when i press the key combo: https://justpaste.it/7xvsa

If I understood udev rules correctly, adding both the original rule and the modified rule to 99-tuxedo-touchpad-switch.rules should work fine. Will test on my pulse15 tonight, and patch 99-tuxedo-touchpad-switch.rules in the PKGBUILD accordingly if it works.

Alternatively you could report this upstream, so they can update their .rules file.

For the touchpad LED to work under Arch Linux on a TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14 Gen6, a modified "99-tuxedo-touchpad-switch.rules" must be used.

The modified PKGBUILD and 99-tuxedo-touchpad-switch.rules I have published in a Gist
