This AUR package is a mirror and automatically updated from the proaudio binary repo project at https://github.com/osam-cologne/archlinux-proaudio

If possible, open a GitHub issue or PR instead of commenting here, thanks!

If you are interested in a well integrated vcvrack (eventually in the [community] repository), built with system libraries from a verifiable source tarball, please do voice your concern in this issue and/or this pull request. It seems upstream only considers changing anything, as soon as enough customers complain.

@d0-ob, right, it used to not work in the past so I fixed the dep to glfw-x11, tested with glfw-wayland now and window decorations are missing on gnome - this may not be a problem for other WMs, so I'll look into changing the dependency to glfw.

this happily compiles with glfw-wayland instead of the glfw-x11 dependency, fyi. thanks :)

Hmm, now I am getting sha256sum failed to validate on osdialog-1c9aaab.tar.gz.

@flying-sheep thanks, just looked into that, the new version requires an unreleased rtaudio change [1] but on vcvrack's side it was kind of just a refactor [2] so I reverted it. As soon as rtaudio 6 is released there's no need to revert the change anymore.

To everyone having issues with Wayland and glfw-wayland: please install glfw-x11 instead for now which will use XWayland. I'm keeping the glfw dependency for now because a future GLFW release will (eventually) support both.

Hi @cbix, I added you as a co-maintainer since your patch looks good. However, it doesn’t compile when you apply it and then update the version to 2.1.

Also I don’t see the package ttf-share existing. We should just patch this to use user configured fonts.

Revised patch with more fixes and all shared libs: https://gist.github.com/cbix/96fc50fea958ea6956efa709776a8e11

There is a bug [1] however in glfw-wayland 3.3.6 so Rack wouldn't start, solved this by replacing it with glfw-git from AUR.

As of Rack version 2.0.4, Rack has switched from GTK3 to zenity for displaying dialog boxes (Open, Save, etc.). As of this writing, if zenity isn't installed, Rack will simply freeze instead of opening the appropriate dialog box.

zenity should be added as a dependency.

maybe we should simply devendor rtaudio again?

I’m having problems with audio devices anyway, maybe that’d fix it?

Here's a patch (already sent this to @flying-sheep): https://gist.github.com/cbix/84fdcb85ae248ed2356849e528cb8bb3
