It seems perl-json is also a dependency for this package, without it I get Can't locate object method "new" via package "JSON" at /usr/bin/weatherspect line 5170.
and a crash at startup.

Beyond checking for updates I haven't actually done anything with this package in quite a while (just noticed your message now) -- feel free to adopt the package if you'd like to keep in moving :)

Another dude had supplemented the freeweather api for the underground one and put it in the perl script.
Said perl script had a syntax error making it unusable. I found the error and fixed it.
if the maintainer wanted to he could just change the upstream URL to my repository or the other dudes who ported weatherspect to git first. In any case download mine and have it working.
