Note: I am only the packager of this application. If you are experiencing issues with the application itself (that do not stem from how the application is packaged), please submit a support request to Windscribe directly ( Alternatively you can post to the official subreddit (

If you have found an issue with the packaging, please open an issue on GitHub ( with clear steps to reproduce the error and any relevant logs. Thanks!

@dominic03, I think the Windscribe client is compiled for i386 and amd64 only. If you want Windscribe on any other architectures, you will have to use OpenVPN with their OpenVPN service.

dominic03 commented on 2020-06-20 17:59

Can this be built/packaged for ARM64?

Aptrug commented on 2020-06-11 16:51

The package is as of 11.06.2020 not-out of-date, people should check their sources before flagging packages out-of-date.

KaramT commented on 2020-06-02 06:40

Why is this flagged out of date? It shouldn't be. This is the latest available version of Windscribe for Linux.

For anyone who would like completion in zsh, adding the following to .zshrc or the like

autoload -U +X bashcompinit && bashcompinit
source /etc/bash_completion.d/windscribe_complete

There's also a method to source all files from a directory here that could be useful to load all completions available

Working perfectly as of comment date on Manjaro Xfce 4.14. Service started manually with systemctl.

@throbscottle windscribe-cli uses the openvpn protocol to establish a VPN connection with Windscribe's servers; therefore openvpn is a required dependency.

throbscottle commented on 2019-07-08 17:31

May I ask, why is openvpn required?

@hkuchampudi sorry for bothering you bro, i did what you said and downgrade to stunnel 5.49, stealth protocl worked fine, but i gont dns leak issue now :D thank you for helping me

hkuchampudi commented on 2019-05-13 22:21

The problem is with the stunnel version running on a ditribution, not the distribution itself. If you type stunnel -version on the computers/VMs where stealth is working, they should show that they are running a stunnel version less than 5.50. However, on Arch, the latest version of stunnel is 5.51. Stunnel versions 5.50 and greater will not currently work with windscribe-cli.
