If you meet any problems about mime detecting (such as thumbnails in file mananger), you can delete the /usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml files and run update-mime-database /usr/share/mime .

I had also had a checksum problem with 8722-4, a cleanup of the build cache (pamac) solved the problem.

There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.

About the software issues, you can go to the official feedback problem. I'm just a packager, I can not solve the software problem.

wps (WPS Writer) 11.1.0.8865-3 crashes immediately after I click "New Document". wpp (WPS Presentation) and et (WPS Spreadsheets) are fine. I am using a freshly installed Manjaro MATE 18.1.0. I tried to launch wps from the terminal, but the crash does not give any error message. Anyone encountered the same problem?

Please consider listing ttf-ms-fonts as an optional dependency. wps-office was not usable until I installed ttf-ms-fonts, as the fonts that it defaults to were missing and caused Writer to crash if you typed anything. Using KDE.

@Universebenzene Please add ttf-dejavu as a dependency, the math needs DejaVu Math TeX Gyre font(or other math font). Or you can use the one contains in the wps office package. (They also packaged the mtextra.tff font)

@tioguda I will wait for the new update

@Universebenzene Changed to English as requested.

Universebenzene commented on 2019-09-11 13:18

@Serial 1. You'd better use English to discribe your problem. 2. That might be wps-office-mui's problem. Might be @timxx 's duty to update it.

@Vistaus I had this exact problem. I installed this on my laptop with no issues. Then, I tried to install it on my desktop and got the same problem you have. I resolved it removing the wps-office package and starting fresh (git clone, makepkg, pacman -U). The second time it installed correctly. I am not sure why. The only thing I noticed is that the second time makepkg -s seemed to pick up open-ssl as a missing dependency and install it. Not sure that happened the first time. Anyway, try removing it and starting fresh.

For those who need document encryption feature or other feature enable only in Chinese version, consider using the package from https://wdl1.cache.wps.cn/wps/download/ep/Linux2019/8865/wps-office_11.1.0.8865_amd64.deb (from the official website: https://linux.wps.cn). It seems that they now distinguish the Chinese and non-Chinese version by different package, and the privacy/EULA isn't the same, LoL.
