Anyone who meet the problem of launching wpspdf, please install the optional dependency libtiff5

If you have the "ERROR: One or more files failed the validity check!" problem, try cleaning your AUR cache first, and try again.

[ATTENTION] The new international version (11.1.0.9080) removed zh_CN support, login, and some other functions. If you still want full functions, or you want aarch64 support, you may need the Chinese version from https://linux.wps.cn here: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/wps-office-cn

I split the /usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml files to the wps-office-mime package to avoid mime issues. If you still want the mime files provided by wps-office itself, you can install the new mime package.

There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.

About the software issues, you can go to the official feedback problem. I'm just a packager, I can not solve the software problem.

@3V0LU710N Latest version which I was able to find was the same as this the version provided by this package. I'm thinking that press release was just PR. EDIT: Fortunately I was wrong.

To work-around the dark theme issue, run the spreadsheet app with a separate light theme by setting GTK2_RC_FILES variable, eg. GTK2_RC_FILES=/usr/share/themes/Menta/gtk-2.0/gtkrc et

To whoever flagged this package as out-of-date: This is the latest version so far. The wps office for linux is supported by the linux community and does not get updates as its windows and/or android versions. The latest package is 10.1.0.5672.a21, released 2016-06-24. You can find the latest release here: http://wps-community.org/download.html

If you answer y to "Edit PKGBUILD", you will see the following in your editor at the beginning of the PKGBUILD: # Instructions were copied from ttf-ms-win8 and slightly modified: # # BUILD INSTRUCTIONS: # ------------------- # # Please note, that usage of Microsoft fonts outside running Windows # system is prohibited by EULA (although in certain countries EULA is invalid). # Please consult Microsoft license before using fonts. # # You can acquire fonts either from an installed and up-to-date Windows 10 # system or the most recent install medium. # # On the installed Windows 10 system fonts are usually located in # C:\Windows\Fonts # and license file is # C:\Windows\System32\license.rtf # # How to acquire fonts from Windows 10 install medium: # # You can freely download the Windows 10 Enterprise 90-day evaluation from: # # http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-10-enterprise # # Fonts are located in 'sources/install.wim' file on the ISO, which # is a 'Windows Imaging Format' (WIM) archive. # # You can extract WIM using wimextract ('wimlib' package from AUR) or # 7z ('p7zip'). # # Put the following script together with previously extracted # 'install.wim' and execute: # # wimextract install.wim 1 /Windows/{Fonts/"*".{ttf,ttc},System32/Licenses/neutral/"*"/"*"/license.rtf} --dest-dir fonts # # Fonts and license will be located in the 'fonts' dir. # # You need all files listed in the _ttf_wps_win10[_*] arrays.Place them in the # same directory as this PKGBUILD file, then run makepkg. Just FYI, if you are ok to live with unknown copyright status and possible older version of the fonts, you can install ttf-wps-fonts instead, whose fonts are hosted on a GitHub repo last updated 2 years ago.

hi dreamingincode thanks for reply so quickly. If I answer y to "Edit PKGBUILD?" what can I do then? I am very new to Linux and esp Manjaro, not too confident with terminal, so any tips would be appreciated. Or point me in the right direction if there is any reading material I can look at. Thanks again.

Maintainer of ttf-wps-win10 here. Please read the error message, it says: Unable to find file://license.rtf, please read the PKGBUILD And the PKGBUILD can be read if you answer y to "Edit PKGBUILD?"
