Thanks demizer! I have been wondering how to perform kernel upgrades if running ZFS on root (maybe this could be described in the wiki). The only way I found to perform kernel upgrades was to first uninstall zfs and spl, upgrade kernel, reboot, recompile and install spl and zfs again but if root is on zfs then I don't understand how to boot without zfs. Maybe that's why we need the DKMS packages?

@ronnylov, I saw that and agree that I don't really think it is necessary... but I was afraid of breaking something someone needed as I just picked up this package from the previous maintainer. When creating the new patch, the difference was only about three to four lines so I kept it. After I complete the new build tool I am working on, as well as create DKMS packages, I will try removing the patch and see if it breaks anything for anybody. Thanks!

zfs version 0.6.0 rc11 includes support for preemptible kernels. So I wonder if the zfs_preempt.patch really is necessary in this PKGBUILD? Release notes: https://groups.google.com/a/zfsonlinux.org/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/zfs-announce/zIcg68ehRTA

Ok guys hopefully the bugs are fixed. Once again the split package is located here: https://github.com/demizer/aur-zfs/tree/master/sources/split

After I installe rc11, I can't start zfs [root@R2D2 roberth]# /etc/rc.d/zfs start :: Starting zfs [BUSY] ERROR: could not insert 'zfs': Invalid argument [FAIL]
