I'm unable to start mendeleydesktop. The same problem with the core dump and Qt warnings have been posted here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=221588
Any ideas?

Openssl 1.1.0 broke the package, had to rollback to 1.0.2

Should add libxslt as a dependency.

No. Coreutils in base depends on openssl so that should be installed on archlinux installation.

I needed to install openssl to make this work (otherwise Mendeley wouldn't detect my internet connection). Should that be added as a dependency?

Seems the plugin has been removed?
alkaid commented on 2016-10-17 05:30 (UTC)
why the fcitx plugin(libfcitxplatforminputcontextplugin.so) is absent in the
/opt/mendeleydesktop/lib/mendeleydesktop/plugins/platforminputcontexts/
while in mendeleydesktop 1.16-3, this plugin located at
/opt/mendeleydesktop/lib/mendeleydesktop/plugins/platforminputcontexts/libfcitxplatforminputcontextplugin.so
I guess that causes my input method broken.

or maybe you are using it under wayland?

@brittyazel
for me behaviour is exactly the same. The difference between my log an yours is:
QXcbIntegration: Cannot create platform OpenGL context, neither GLX nor EGL are enabled
Maybe this is your cuplprit? Did you enabled glx/egl in kwin?

I will maintain this until it stops working, but this package should be considered "legacy" and the new Reference Manager (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mendeley-reference-manager) preferred.

To avoid crashs when opening PDF's, and hangout on exit install
mendeleydesktop-bundled
which packages Qt provided by the upstream.
