@haffmans > Why does this bootstrap package provide/conflict with mingw-w64-freetype (whereas mingw-w64-x264 doesn't)? Because I copied the provides/conflicts from mingw-w64-freetype2-boostrap when creating the package and forgot to remove mingw-w64-freetype. Seems like no one noticed the issue so far. > Would removing the provides/conflict for freetype solve the problem? I removed the provides/conflicts which should solve the problem.

I'm having a problem with this bootstrap package and installing the corresponding mingw-w64-ffmpeg package. Currently ffmpeg depends on mingw-w64-fontconfig, which in turn depends on mingw-w64-freetype2 (not just 'mingw-w64-freetype' as this package provides). As a result you'd need to install the conflicting freetype2 or freetype2-bootstrap package to satisfy that dependency, to be able to install ffmpeg and break the cyclic dependency between ffmpeg and x264. But because of the conflict that's not really (safely) possible. I've tried changing fontconfig's PKGBUILD to depend on mingw-w64-freetype instead (with mingw-w64-x264-bootstrap package installed) but that fails in its configuration stage. Why does this bootstrap package provide/conflict with mingw-w64-freetype (whereas mingw-w64-x264 doesn't)? Would removing the provides/conflict for freetype solve the problem? Thanks!
