it someone do it in a clean chroot, I think maybe it won't be include, I am not sure

@malacology makedepends already assumes that base-devel is installed. base-devel contains make.

malacology commented on 2022-04-08 22:30 (UTC)

make should be in makepedends

Confirmed & updated! (also the upstream release has a changed checksum compared to 2 days ago)

Some info in this issue, but I did get the new version of (vanilla) phyml to build with the instructions on the main page, i.e. ./autogen.sh, ./configure --enable-phyml, make

I can get it to link if I comment out @src/utilities.h#L97-98 and instead add int CALL @src/lk.c

However, I think there must be a better solution - I'll check a bit more and then update.

@mschu There's a new version out, but I can't seem to get the new version nor this old version building any more. I'm getting a bunch of ld errors, ending with collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status. The old version built fine in the past. Can you build either?

Rhinoceros commented on 2020-03-08 00:26 (UTC)

Hi @linearleopard. Unfortunately I'm not sure how much I can help. I tested the build again on three different systems, and it worked fine for me in all three. I Googled inlining failed in call to always_inline, and I came up with several possible solutions, but since I can't make the build fail, I'm not really in a position to test.

Please have a search and test, and if you come up with a solution, I'm happy to incorporate it into the PKGBUILD. One thing I might suggest is trying a manual makepkg -s rather than using a AUR helper.

Thank you.
