I keep it on Qt5, as it seems to be more popular, at least judging by number of AUR packages requiring qt5-base

Fair enough, although the other package owners probably all think the same. ;-) I guess that everyone will jump ship as soon as qt5 is relegated to the AUR.

@aggrayf, glad to hear it works, even though I have not changed anything ;) I keep it on Qt5, as it seems to be more popular, at least judging by number of AUR packages requiring qt5-base-git vs qt6-base-git. It is not a strong opinion though, if there are any benefits to switching to Qt6, I will do it sooner.

I'm curious, though, why you still have this package depend on qt5. Even the official package is being built builds against qt6 since quite some time, qt6 has been out for a long time and seems reasonably stable, and qjackctl seems to support it well.

Yep, works again, thanks. This might have been an intermittent failure (qjackctl got updated in git since then, and I also got a qt5 update in the meantime IIRC).

Hi aggraef,

This is strange, I have just rebuild the current package without any problems. I have both qt5 and qt6 installed. Can you check in CMakeCache.txt which Qt version is used for a build with CONFIG_QT6=OFF?

This currently doesn't compile:

/home/ag/Sources/aur4/others/qjackctl-git/src/qjackctl-git/src/qjackctlGraph.cpp: In member function ‘virtual void qjackctlGraphCanvas::mousePressEvent(QMouseEvent*)’:
/home/ag/Sources/aur4/others/qjackctl-git/src/qjackctl-git/src/qjackctlGraph.cpp:1637:32: error: ‘class QMouseEvent’ has no member named ‘position’
 1637 |                         event->position(), event->globalPosition(),
      |                                ^~~~~~~~
/home/ag/Sources/aur4/others/qjackctl-git/src/qjackctl-git/src/qjackctlGraph.cpp:1637:51: error: ‘class QMouseEvent’ has no member named ‘globalPosition’; did you mean ‘globalPos’?
 1637 |                         event->position(), event->globalPosition(),
      |                                                   ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      |                                                   globalPos

Changing -DCONFIG_QT6=OFF to -DCONFIG_QT6=ON in the PKGBUILD solves this, so presumably the Qt6 build works alright.

@land_or: thank you, I have applied your changes (and some more to compile the package with qt5)

qjackctl no longer uses automake build system. Needs to be updated for CMake
