If anyone is seeing issues again related to the latest version of this package and python-sabctools, I was able to work around it by downloading the tarball for python-sabctools and building/installing it locally.
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/snapshot/python-sabctools.tar.gz
I used makepkg -scir
in the directory created by extracting that tarball in order to build & install it.
Okay, made an sabnzbd-desktop package for all your crazy kids that want to click on nzbs. I don't use it, so let me know if it works. Then I'm going to disown it and someone who does use it can take over ownership.
I moved it to another package and disowned it, I guess no one wanted to maintain it and it got removed.
What happened to the old .desktop file that was in this package?
@rlivin I generated locales and it fixed that issue for me https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Locale
I keep getting the error Pathname can't be converted from UTF-8 to current locale and then ==> ERROR: Failed to extract SABnzbd-4.1.0-src.tar.gz
The tool downgrade is great. If you keep your built aur packages in your pacman pkg cache, you can just do something like downgrade python-sabctools
and it'll do the work for you.
For now, doing pacman -Rc python-sabctools
;
removing the previously built package files (paru): rm -rf $XDG_CACHE_HOME/paru/clone/python-sabctools
;
and reinstalling with paru sabnzbd
downgrades the sabctools from 7.10 to 7.0.2
I talked to sab devs, I need to revert the update and we just stick w/ the old one. You can downgrade.
i have the same issue as ryley, but i haven't taken a go at a workaround yet
