@stylemistake Done! Thanks for pointing that out. Glad you like the font. Been my favorite ever since the original release.

I had the same issue once, this make dependency is neccesary.

Also, if you could, please make it so that the download name for the font (source) contained a version number. When using a persistent cache folder for makepkg, this file collides with previous versions and checksums fail.

@salif I added fontconfig and xorg-mkfontscale to makedepends. Does that fix things for you?

salif commented on 2021-06-03 15:04 (UTC)

I get an error:

rebuilding font cache... /tmp/alpm_2729y8/.INSTALL: line 4: mkfontscale: command not found
/tmp/alpm_2729y8/.INSTALL: line 5: mkfontdir: command not found

Hey, apparently it's necessary to clean build it every time: makepkg sees that Agave-Regular.ttf already exists in the cache and skips the download step. That's why md5sum was different for me every time! That also means I was using the old agave release all this time, because I replaced md5sum with SKIP. Smh.

Thanks for maintaining this package, I love this font!

Hmm that's odd. I just tried building with a fresh clone and also verified the checksum manually with no issue.

Checksums are still wrong. It seems as if the maintainer is silently swapping ttf files after the release.
