Anyone who meet the problem of launching wpspdf, please install the optional dependency libtiff5

If you have the "ERROR: One or more files failed the validity check!" problem, try cleaning your AUR cache first, and try again.

[ATTENTION] The new international version (11.1.0.9080) removed zh_CN support, login, and some other functions. If you still want full functions, or you want aarch64 support, you may need the Chinese version from https://linux.wps.cn here: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/wps-office-cn

I split the /usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml files to the wps-office-mime package to avoid mime issues. If you still want the mime files provided by wps-office itself, you can install the new mime package.

There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.

About the software issues, you can go to the official feedback problem. I'm just a packager, I can not solve the software problem.

That was big help, thanks! I removed libreoffice file (freedesktop.org.xml) from /usr/share/mime/packages/ then sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime, then it is working!

@miku84 The issue is in /usr/share/mime/packages/, with the wps-office-*.xml files. I have installed libreoffice and I have their xml file too, so I removed the wps-office-*.xml files and then I updated from console (sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime). That was my solution by now, I will check the wps-office-*.xml files later.

@dann1 Did you try a clean installation or did you execute it with the gtk style as commented below? @gmtrejo I had the same issue, do as I did: Download the previous version (wps-office_10.1.0.5672~a21_x86_64.tar.xz) from the next link: http://wps-community.org/downloads Then, extract the tar.xz and execute any programm inside the extraction (wps, wpp or et). Change the language and close the program. Now in the same folder go to Office6, and in the "mui" folder the downloaded languaje will be there. Copy the languaje folder to /lib/office6/mui/. Delete the tar.xz package and their extraction. Open any program (wps, wpp or et) and change the languaje. The network error is still there, but now you have installed the wished languaje.

Hello, I get segmentation fault when trying to open any of the softwares provided by the suite. I used to get this when entering presentation mode in wpp pressing f5. /usr/bin/et: line 38: 26609 Segmentation fault (core dumped) ${gInstallPath}/office6/${gApp} ${gOptExt} ${gOpt} "$@" /usr/bin/wps: line 38: 21349 Segmentation fault (core dumped) ${gInstallPath}/office6/${gApp} ${gOptExt} ${gOpt} "$@" /usr/bin/wpp: line 38: 23129 Segmentation fault (core dumped) ${gInstallPath}/office6/${gApp} ${gOptExt} ${gOpt} "$@"

After updating, I can't change the language. Option 'choose language' indicates "network error"

After the install I am having issues to open the .xlsx and .docx files. They are shown as application/zip type and not those. The assignment for .xlsx and .docx are correct to WPS but the problem is that they are shown as zip type. Do you know how to correct it? Plasma5 stable. Thanks

@8XA /opt/kingsoft no exist in my system. after deleting $HOME/.kingsoft, $HOME/.config/kingsoft and $HOME/.cache/Kingsoft, same issue removing wps-office and reinstall do nothing @ouyangjun my DE is plasma, and have [testing] active. EDIT: after intall pkgrev 2 works again, but in GTK style (as say in the changes)

8XA commented on 2017-06-21 11:31 (UTC)

@ouyangjun That's right, now I run wps without the gtk style and without problems. The issue happened because I tried to make an upgranding (I tried to install the new version without uninstall the previous version). @sl1pkn07 You must to uninstall the previous version (yaourt -Rs wps-office) and delete the kingsoft folder (sudo rm -r /opt/kingsoft) fisrt of all, then you can install from yaourt again (yaourt -S wps-office). A clean installation is the key.
