Anyone who meet the problem of launching wpspdf, please install the optional dependency libtiff5

If you have the "ERROR: One or more files failed the validity check!" problem, try cleaning your AUR cache first, and try again.

[ATTENTION] The new international version (11.1.0.9080) removed zh_CN support, login, and some other functions. If you still want full functions, or you want aarch64 support, you may need the Chinese version from https://linux.wps.cn here: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/wps-office-cn

I split the /usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml files to the wps-office-mime package to avoid mime issues. If you still want the mime files provided by wps-office itself, you can install the new mime package.

There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.

About the software issues, you can go to the official feedback problem. I'm just a packager, I can not solve the software problem.

@saber716rus Use English to give feedback please. BTW there were wps-office-mui packages on AUR to provide other language support in the past, but the upstream was dead. So only English locale now.

I gave up on WPS because I couldn't get the spell checker working even with language packages installed. Something was broken, no idea what.

@marlor If u wish u can copy needed language from windows version of WPS. Just install it with wine and then copy language packs & vocabulary. Works like a charm with RU.

Why there have been no further versions in other languages except English and Chinese for months?

@rs28 Thank you, the method works. Perhaps, I should pay attention to the Manjaro forum.

rs28 commented on 2021-02-25 23:32 (UTC)

for manjaro users, if after an update it stops working at all and shows nothing, this is the solution https://forum.manjaro.org/t/error-with-wps-office/53053

@lewis2e I've done the exact same thing now, just got the old multi language files from the older snap version of the app (which works).

Same issue, selected en_AU Australian language, it changed to the correct spellcheck dict.. still doesn't work!

Would be nice if this package was updated with the language files from the older version since WPS seems content to strip languages from new releases (their dict license expired?). IE. /usr/lib/office6/dict and mui folders+files from v10.

@theriddick Weird, definitely works for me. Both real time spell check (Red squiggly lines under misspelled words) and the F7 step by step spell check. I can't explain why it works - I haven't made any changes beyond dropping the dict into /home/$USER/.local/share/Kingsoft/office6/dicts/
