Recent jre-openjdk update conflicts with asciidocfx. There is no jre14-openjdk at the moment.

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: installing jdk-openjdk (15.0.1.u9-1) breaks dependency 'java-environment=14' required by asciidocfx

asciidocfx 1.6.8-1 it starts despite this message:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.deploy.uitoolkit.impl.fx.HostServicesFactory ...

than it crashes when trying to open an adoc file:

Ok, here is the thing. AUR install can be messy or outdated anyway. Just go to the official repo https://github.com/asciidocfx/AsciidocFX#how-to-install-asciidocfx and download the AsciidocFX_Linux.tar.gz file that includes the compatible Java runtime, and that should be fine. For the incompatibility, Java app needs to be distributed with the runtime, that's horrible, but it works anyway.

asciidocfx 1.6.8-1 build and install is succeeded here. Probably clean environment without Java will help. Just note, the app itself is crashed when loading .adoc file.

Just tried to install this package, but it fails while building the application, because it can't find javafx. Of course openjfx is installed, and I am running on openjdk 8.

There's the first log (a lot of compilation errors, all about javafx, follow):

[INFO] -------------------------------------------------------------

[ERROR] COMPILATION ERROR :

[INFO] -------------------------------------------------------------

[ERROR] /tmp/pamac-build-xxxxxx/asciidocfx/src/AsciidocFX-1.6.8/src/main/java/com/kodedu/other/Current.java:[7,26] package javafx.application does not exist

Is there something I can do to fix this?

Just tried the update, 1.6.8 builds cleanly, just change the sha512sum and version in the PKGBUILD.

Still needs jre8 (in AUR).

I accidentally ran it under openjdk 10 and later openjdk 8 and somewhere along the way it silently emptied an asciidoc document I was testing with.

Swoosh, gone, empty, professionally cleaned up and as good as new. :)

The doc was completely disposable, luckily. Be warned.

Error when building 1.5.6:

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project AsciidocFX: Could not resolve dependencies for project com.kodedu:AsciidocFX:jar:1.5.6: Could not find artifact com.asciidocfx.pty4j:pty4j:jar:0.7.3 in central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/)

Apparently some time between versions 1.5.6 and 1.5.9 the upstream has moved from pty4j 0.7.3 to 0.7.4 and the former has been removed?
