Anybody whos interested can ask for this to be orphaned on the irc channel.

Here's a conf.pl that can be used with autopsy to enable successful building with makepkg: http://pastebin.com/J6yw2TuV Just save that file into extra/autopsy.pl (extra being a directory in the same folder as your PKGBUILD file) and you can use this PKGBUILD as is. You might want to change the location of the evidence locker (variable named $LOCKDIR in this conf.pl) from /tmp to a better location on your system, but that's up to you. If someone else starts maintaining this package, this file should be included in this package's AUR tarball as "autopsy.pl" and the PKGBUILD should change this line: cp ${startdir}/extra/${pkgname}.pl ${pkgdir}/etc to: cp ${startdir}/${pkgname}.pl ${pkgdir}/etc

Package maintainer has had almost a month now since s1gma's post to fix this. Needs to be orphaned so someone else can work on it.

The PKGBUILD is not working (autopsy.pl stuff). Will the maintainer repair it ? If not, I'll ask it to be orphaned, so that someone (phects ?) can take care of it.

I repaired the PKGBUILD: http://svn.orgizm.net/collective/browser/pkgbuilds/phects/autopsy The solution of Basic-Master does not work, because the TSK installation path would point to the PKGBUILD's directory. I created a working config file and added it to $files.

Update please.

Could this be updated to compile properly? If you need an updated PKGBUILD that works I should have time to get to it by next week.

Alright, I think I figured it out. First, I commented out this line: cp ${startdir}/extra/${pkgname}.pl ${pkgdir}/etc Then I built and installed the package, ran "./configure" once in the source directory and copied the new conf.pl to /etc/autopsy.pl and now it appears to be working. this may not be the best solution but it's working here for now.

Hm, this doesn't seem to compile for me, it always fails telling me it can't copy "extra/autopsy.pl". Any idea what's going wrong?
